English Yacs handbook Authoring

How to post articles through web forms?

Once you have authenticated to a YACS server as a valid member, it is quite a straightforward process.

[title]Start the process[/title] The very first step is to locate an adequate link to trigger the post. Hopefully, every logged member has a link for this purpose on his menu.

[title]Select a section[/title] Where do you want to post the new page. If you are a weblogger, you can see sections as available blogs. Just click on of the listed titles.

[title]Edit your page[/title] The only mandatory content is a valid title. You also have a field for some introductory text. And then, for the field related to main content, a bar of buttons describes most used YACS codes (that are similar to bbcode). You have a bar of smilies as well. Then you will have to scroll to the bottom of the form to hit the Submit button.

[title]Be rewarded[/title] YACS is so polite that it will thank you for your contribution. Also, you will have additional links to submit additional material, such as images, files, or links.

[title]The publication step[/title] At this stage the submitted page already has its permanent link (permalink), and this link can be transmitted to those that need early access to posted information (friends, family, etc.)

Server associates will be warned of your post and, after review, may decide to publish the new page. This means that, hopefully, the post will appear at the home page of the server for some time 8)
