How to select a skin for your site

The quickest and easiest way to modify the look of your web site is to choose among YACS built-in skins

yacs provides many built-in skins from which you can choose. A few clics will allow you to switch from one another and, without changing a coma to your content, you site will take on a whole new look.

[subtitle]Here is how you do it :[/subtitle]
1. while logged in as an associate, go to the control panel

2. under the heading Configuration panels (or in the Modules box on the side), click Skins

3. 4 skins are built-in : - boxesandarrows - digital - joi - skeleton (the default skin)

4. for each of the skins, a menu lets you choose to either : - test this skin : this will lead you to a sample page showing how the various elements available on a page are rendered with the chosen skin - use this skin : and therefore replace the skin you had been using until then - edit this skin : this gives you access to the three main files you might want to edit in order to customize this skin
([flag]note :[/flag] you should not customize a built-in style because you would loose all your changes on the next update; leave this operation for a skin that you will have derived yourself, using the next option) - derive this skin : certainly the most interesting option, explained in How to derive a new skin?.
