Registration is still a problem

Sent by Anatoly

Hi Bernard,

1)I still can not register to your server. I am doing this: - I browse to Forum; - I read last topic ('Installation successful' in this case) - I click on 'Reply' or on 'Comment'; - naturally, your server ask me to log in or register; - I do not have login so I click on register; - the form appears (users/edit.php); - I fill fields nickName, password, confirmation of password, and e-mail; - I click on submit and get the following: ['Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator,tech@ovh.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.yacs.fr Port 80']

The same happens when I try to register to your server from User Area menu.

2) This 'User Area' is my question: where this menu is configured? I want to prevent 'control panel' link from being seen by uregistered users as it represent a security treat (allows to easily guess site structure).

3) I guess it should be possible for Admin or Associate somehow to control what is shown to who without messing up with php source directly. Is it correct? If so, than how? I mean, where and how can I control which box and link in a menu is visible to a particular user category? Say, I do not want users who are not logged in to see 'Site Map' link in Menu but I want logged in users to be able to see it.

4)The visible ID issue. Yes, I know about these system-wide ID like Installation successful. I meant that it would be nice to have a visible ID, like a number near an entry in a Forum list. Right now it is, say, ['folder icon_Installation successful_Anatoly_1_0 new today at 09:56'], but it would be nice to have it like ['407_folder icon_Installation etc..'], where '407' is a unique entry ID. It would also be nice to have the same thing on each Article or any other entry that represent user-readable information that is updated and might be referred to in a conversation (like, 'today I browsed to that i-can-not-pronounce/remeber-that-long-name.com site and read there an article/forum entry number ##. Boy, suchaboringnonsens that was!':).

5)you probably already get tired reading this. Last question: is there a way to get rid of language bar without editing skin template? All the best, Anatoly.
